five minute face: morphe M2 ready in 5 eyeshadow palette

Lately, it seems that my to-do list is overloaded. There are always so many tasks to check off. I suppose that is the way of it. There are busier times and slower times...and this is a busier time. It seems that the next several months will be somewhat full, but in the wise words of Dory from Finding Nemo, just keep swimming! With so much to tackle each day, it is essential to have a few quick and easy makeup looks ready. Yes, I'm talking about a five minute face. Lately, I've been using the Morphe M2 Ready in 5 Eyeshadow Palette in From Hawaii With Love to achieve a dramatic look in mere minutes. 

According to the brand, the Morphe M2 Ready in 5 Eyeshadow Palette in From Hawaii With Love is an "eyeshadow palette that contains five tonal, buildable shades, in matte and shimmer finishes, for vacation-ready vibes in an instant." The five colour eyeshadow palette is also cruelty free and free or parabens. This is a small and compact release that would be ideal for travel or tossing into your purse for on-the-go creations. The palette is definitely something that I could see taking with me on vacation of some sort. The colours are all really flattering and easy to wear. Plus, there are both mattes and shimmers. Not to mention the fact that the eyeshadows have fabulously themed names. On the top, there is Lei Life and Pink Sand. In the middle, it is Aloha Glow. Then on the bottom, it is Tropical Smoothie and Road to Hana. The names are just right.

In terms of the quality, some of the shadows perform better than others (the shimmers are especially excellent) but all of the eyeshadows work well. And I absolutely adore the colour story. There are pinks, a champagne shade, burgundy colours, and a warm brown. It is possible to create several different looks using one or more of the shadows. The packaging for this Ready in 5 Eyeshadow Palette is simple but effective. There is a clear plastic cover and a white base. Nothing fancy. Just straight to the point. I suppose that is the whole idea of the Morphe eyeshadow palette: simple, quick, easy. And of course, ready in five. 

For the five minute face shown above, all of the eyeshadows were used. I started with Road to Hana (warm brown) through the crease. Then Tropical Smoothie (matte burgundy) was applied on the outer portion of the lid. Lei Life (burgundy shimmer) was layered on top and then Aloha Glow (champagne shimmer) was applied to the inner portion of the lid and the inner corner. Everything was blended out with Pink Sand (soft pink matte). Along the lower lash line there was more Tropical Smoothie and Aloha Glow. A bit of liner and mascara finished off the eyes. I applied a bit of bronzer to the cheeks and a clear gloss on the lips...and ta da! A five minute face that was wearable but offered just the right amount of glam.
