skin care week: life brand replenishing clay face mask (review)

It is skin care week on the creation of beauty is art. That means all of the blog posts this week will be dedicated to different skin care items that have become a part of my recent routine. Each year, I love to set different New Year's Resolutions. Some are personal, some are related to health and fitness, and some are even beauty resolutions. This year? One of my beauty-related goals is to focus more on skin care. There are many reasons for this! It is partly because I am home so often these days (courtesy of the pandemic and lockdowns) so it seems like as good a time as any to give my skin some much needed TLC. It is also because skin care has always been my lowest priority. Some people live and breathe skin care. Not me. I am all about the instant gratification. Makeup delivers an immediate splash of colour and glamour. Skin care requires long-term dedication. Despite this....I really am trying to make skin care a focus in 2021. Which is why skin care week is starting with a review.

When it comes to skin care products, there are two areas that tend to be my focus: moisturizer and face masks. Wondering why? I have dry skin and so, moisturizers are an absolute must. As for face masks, they are viewed as a treat. Something to pamper myself with after a long day. Enter the Life Brand Replenishing Clay Face Mask. It contains rosewater and Vitamin E and claims to leave skin feeling soft and smooth. What is unique about this particular face mask that it comes with a screw off cap. It contains enough to be used three times...which is a nice treat. Especially since most face masks either come in a massive bottle or are single-use. It is nice to see something that is in-between.

So, how does this product perform? The Life Brand Replenishing Clay Face Mask has some pros and cons to consider. First, the pros. It has a light and pleasant scent. Not overwhelming but refreshing and enjoyable. The fact that the packet refastens is wonderful because it means you can use it multiple times. The mask itself has a slight cooling sensation on the skin and doesn't cause irritation. Ultimately, it works decently and makes the skin feel much smoother. The con is that the mask can be a bit drying. If you are someone (like me) who has dry skin...you'll want to keep that in mind before using.

All in all, this was an enjoyable product to try. I love the fact that you can use it more than once and it really did make my skin feel pampered. Always a bonus! On another note, my latest YouTube video is up on my channel. It is a Holiday Beauty Haul. Take a peek at some of the beauty-related items that I was given over the holiday season:
